About
Is there a 5th dimension when it comes to green building design, construction and operation? Building Information Modeling (BIM) uses sophisticated software to project how a building functions and not just how it looks.
Many believe BIM will become standard practice for building green at some point in the future. It produces the greatest advantages when the entire project team is involved at the design phase by enabling team members to assess inputs and outputs as modeling intelligence grows with each modeling iteration. BIM can also be used to monitor and assess building operations once occupied. This course looks at how BIM is being utilized by the design, construction, and operations professionals.
What you will learn
- Understand role of BIM on Green Building projects
- Analyze the components of BIM
- Identify BIM’s impact throughout project life cycle
- Identify BIM’s footprint on cost, schedule, modeling, visualization and schedule
