Carolina Wernicke is an architect and sustainability consultant who collaborates independently with a leading design and construction firm in LATAM. She specializes in assisting clients in achieving international certifications, enabling them to align with their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals. Carolina’s work focuses on sustainability, promoting the well-being of building occupants, and enhancing corporate reputation and practices.
Leveraging her expertise, Carolina has adeptly applied her LEED AP and WELL AP certifications. Since 2019, she has actively participated in projects spanning LATAM, overseeing the implementation of requisite measures to meet these certification criteria while upholding her clients’ commitments.
Carolina obtained her architectural degree from the Faculty of Architecture, Planning, and Design at Argentina’s National University in Rosario (UNR). With an extensive background in commercial and hospitality design and construction, she continues to make significant contributions to the industry.

I Xavier Varghese moved to Calgary, Canada and launched my own start-up SX Energy Efficiency Solutions Inc. (www.sxenergyefficiencysolutions.ca) an Energy Services Company (ESCO), having certified knowledge and experience in the Lighting and Energy industry for over 25 years. Our Vision – Create sustainable and affordable clean energy for everyone and increase occupant comfort through Energy Efficient Lighting Solutions . I previously worked for Signify/Philips Lighting in Middle East. I am a certified PMP and Energy professional by AEE. I recently completed my MBA from UCW, Vancouver and became an entrepreneur after graduating from Founders Institute, Western Canada in Summer 2022.
Indeed excited to work with GBRI to create awareness globally (specifically in Western Canada) through education sector (universities) and energy and professional associations like AEEA, AEE, PMI, OACETT, IES and others.

I am a recognized “Construction Product Life Cycle Assessment Specialist” and CII-Certified Professional in Resource Efficiency and Environment Sustainability. I am ASSOCHAM Green and Eco-friendly Movement Certified Professional (GEM CP) and member of Indian Green building Council (IGBC). I am International Youth Conference (IYC) ambassador, a sustainability Ambassador, and a green building Ambassador. I am associated with some international and national organisations, i.e., Commission Member-International Union for conservation of Nature (IUCN), Researcher and Member-Global Sustainability Future Network (GSFN), Member-RECLAIM, Member-SPSC, Member- Climate Practisers Inida Network (CPIN), Member- Institute of Engineers India, Ltd. (IEI), AM-ASCE, Sr. Member-RELIM. Alvin is a pioneering green building professional in the Philippines. His career has supported several project owners, designers, contractors and suppliers in achieving building sustainability certification, pushing industry transformational outcome and mentoring aspirants to the profession.
Alvin has acquired more than 25 years of experience in architectural and interior design, corporate real estate, construction, property and facilities management. He has advanced his career as an independent practitioner and a team player in multinational companies.
Alvin is actively involved in sustainable buildings and climate mitigation causes. He is a licensed Architect and holds international licenses as Project Management Professional (PMP), LEED AP, WELL AP, EDGE Expert and Auditor, TRUE Advisor and GREEEN Assessor and Audito. He is a Professor of Architecture at local university and is a licensed faculty of the USGBC and IWBI.
In 2022, Alvin was elevated as LEED Fellow of the USGBC- a first for South East Asia.

Miranda Anderson is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Interior Architecture and Design program at the University of Idaho. With over 25 years in the architecture and interior design industries, she is an NCIDQ certificate holder, LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C), WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), and a WELL Faculty member with the International WELL Building Institute.
As a design educator, Miranda has received award recognition including a national Teaching Excellence Award and a University Mid-Career Faculty Award. She holds a Master of Architecture degree and specializes in design decision-making for healthy interior environments with emphasis in materials for sustainability and well-being, materials and meaning, and adaptive reuse/historic preservation.
Prior to teaching, Miranda spent eight years in private practice as a project manager, designer, and LEED AP on a variety of commercial and residential projects throughout the Northwest U.S
